About The Position

The Certified Tobacco Training Specialist (CTTS) works with patients in both the inpatient and outpatient setting to educate them about tobacco cessation. The CTTS works with the Tobacco Cessation Coordinator and the program's nurse practitioner to provide intake sessions to gather information about the patient's history and tobacco use. The CTTS collaborates with a nurse practitioner and/or physician to individualize treatment plans to assist participants with cessation and tracks patients for up to one year following counseling services.

Requirements

  • Certified Tobacco Training Specialist (CTTS) certification.
  • Ability to work with patients in both inpatient and outpatient settings.
  • Experience in gathering patient history and tobacco use information.
  • Ability to collaborate with healthcare professionals to develop treatment plans.
  • Skills in tracking patient progress for up to one year.
