Certified Therapeutic Recreation Specialist (CTRS)
About The Position
Collaborates with interdisciplinary teams for effective communication, especially in non-responsive cases and developmental needs in therapy. Ensures timely completion of assessments, balancing therapist workload, and applying appropriate therapeutic theory. Documents patient responses to interventions and formulating individualized treatment programs based on practitioner orders. Designs and delivers activities aligned with patient needs. Regularly reassesses patients, updating condition-based plans, and provides direction staff on activity-related groups. Maintains timely, thorough documentation in accordance with hospital standards. Requirements
- Must be 21 years or older
- Master’s degree in Art Therapy OR Certified Therapeutic Recreation Specialist (CTRS) OR Master's degree in Music Therapy OR relevant state licensure/certification.
- CTRS or equivalent
- Current applicable certification preferred.
