EPR - Homebound Instructor - ES

About The Position

A certified teacher is needed to provide homebound instruction for an Elementary student for a total of approximately 8-10 weeks (3-5 hours per week). This role supports a student with disabilities during after-school extra-curricular activities by providing core instruction in the student's home environment, assisting with assignments and assessments, and fostering independence as appropriate.

Requirements

• PA Teaching Certification in Special Education required.
• Possess a current CPR Certified (First aid and Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation)
• Possess the ability to work cooperatively with others
• Possess the ability to communicate with adults and children
• Possess excellent writing skills
• Possess the ability to learn and be trained a positive behavior support plan

Nice To Haves

• Dual certification in Elementary Education/Special Education preferred.

Responsibilities

• Providing core instruction to a student as needed in the student’s home environment.
• Supporting the student with completing all assignments and assessments.
• Effective and appropriate communication with students and staff.
• Encourage independence of students when deemed appropriate dependent on the requirements of the activity.
