About The Position

A certified teacher is needed to provide homebound instruction for an Elementary student for a total of approximately 6 weeks (2-3 hours per week). This role involves providing core instruction to a student in their home environment, supporting them with assignments and assessments, and fostering independence as appropriate. Training will be provided as needed.

Requirements

• Possess a PA Teaching Certification in Secondary Education
• Possess a current CPR Certified (First aid and Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation)
• Possess the ability to work cooperatively with others
• Possess the ability to communicate with adults and children
• Possess excellent writing skills
• Possess the ability to learn and be trained a positive behavior support plan

Responsibilities

• Providing core instruction to a student as needed in the student’s home environment.
• Supporting the student with completing all assignments and assessments.
• Effective and appropriate communication with students and staff.
• Encouraging independence of students when deemed appropriate dependent on the requirements of the activity.
