About The Position

The Certified Surgical Technologist will perform scrub person duties during the intraoperative phase of surgical procedures. This role involves assisting in the preparation and dispensing of instruments, equipment, and supplies, conducting counts for instruments, needles, sharps, and sponges, and handling specimens. The technologist will also assist in the application of dressings or casts, moving patients, and maintaining inventory in the Operating Room and on carts. Requirements

High school graduate or equivalent
Graduate of an approved Surgical Technologist school or minimum 3 years’ experience as a Surgical Technologist
Current CPR certification required

Nice To Haves

Certified Surgical Technologist (CST) highly preferred

Responsibilities

Perform scrub person duties during the intraoperative phase of surgical procedures
Assist in the preparation and dispensing of instruments, equipment and supplies required for surgical procedures
Conduct all instrument, needle, sharps and sponge counts, as well as handle specimens
Assist in the application of dressings or casts and moving patients
Assist in decontamination/reprocessing area when assigned
Maintain inventory in Operating Room and on carts
