About The Position
This is a PRN opportunity for an experienced Certified Surgical Technologist (CST) to function as a member of the operating room team. The role involves preparing sterile supplies and equipment for surgical procedures and performing room duties related to direct patient care, adhering to established procedural guidelines. The position requires the ability to provide care and/or service appropriate to the developmental level of patients, considering the needs of their families.
Requirements
- Graduation from an accredited surgical technology program.
- Credentialed as a Certified Surgical Technologist (CST) by the National Board of Surgical Technology and Surgical Assisting (formerly LCC-ST) or NCCT required and must be maintained.
- Current American Heart Association (AHA) Basic Life Support (BLS) certification or American Red Cross BLS for Healthcare Providers certification is required.
Responsibilities
- Prepare sterile supplies and equipment used in surgical procedures.
- Perform appropriate room duties involved with direct patient care.
- Adhere to established procedural guidelines.
- Provide care and/or service appropriate to the developmental level of patients, with consideration of the needs of patients' families.
