About The Position
NewYork-Presbyterian/Allen Hospital is seeking a Certified Surgical Technologist to support physicians during a wide range of surgical procedures, including neurological, orthopedic, and ENT procedures. The technologist functions as a scrub person, circulation assistant, and member of the surgical team, assisting with the care, preparation, and maintenance of Operating Room supplies and equipment. This is a full-time evening position at NewYork-Presbyterian/Allen Hospital, working from 3:00 p.m. to 11:15 p.m. and including rotating weekend and holiday shifts.
Requirements
- Certification as a Certified Surgical Technologist by the National Board of Surgical Technology and Surgical Assisting (NBSTSA).
- Completion of a certified Surgical Technologist or Operating Room Technician training program, or experience as an O.R. Technician/Surgical Technologist in an acute care setting.
- High school diploma or GED.
Nice To Haves
- Prior experience as an OR/Surgical Tech in an acute care setting.
