About The Position

NurseDash is seeking experienced Certified Surgical Technologists (CSTs) to join their network of surgical professionals. This role offers competitive pay, flexible scheduling, and the chance to work with excellent surgical teams in Tampa and Temple Terrace, FL, and surrounding communities. Opportunities are available in various specialties including Endoscopy, Orthopedics, Spine, Ophthalmology, and General Surgery. You can choose between flexible per diem shifts or contract assignments lasting 4 to 13 weeks, with compensation varying based on the assignment.

Requirements

Certified Surgical Technologist (CST) credential required
Minimum 1 year of recent operating room experience
Current BLS certification
Must be at least 18 years of age

Nice To Haves

Experience in one or more surgical specialties preferred
Strong knowledge of sterile technique and surgical instrumentation
Excellent communication and teamwork skills
Commitment to professionalism, reliability, and patient safety

Responsibilities

Prepare operating rooms, instruments, and equipment for surgical procedures
Maintain sterile technique and comply with infection prevention standards
Assist surgeons by anticipating needs and passing instruments during procedures
Perform instrument and sponge counts according to facility policy
Support patient positioning and operating room preparation
Collaborate with surgeons, anesthesia providers, nurses, and surgical teams
Inspect and maintain surgical instruments and equipment
Deliver safe, efficient, and high-quality patient care throughout every procedure
