About The Position

Physicians Surgery Center of Tidewater is seeking a Full-Time Certified Surgical Technologist to join their team. They are a busy multispecialty ambulatory surgery center serving the Virginia Beach community and an affiliate of United Surgical Partners International (USPI). The Certified Surgical Technologist is responsible for all departmental functions in support of USPI's mission, vision, and facility goals. This position establishes effective working relationships with patients, physicians, employees, volunteers, and vendors. The Certified Surgical Technologist scrubs surgical procedures and demonstrates competence while working with leadership to meet facility safety, quality, customer service, and financial goals.

Requirements

High school graduate or equivalent
CST current certification
BLS required
Good command of the English language, both verbal and written
Positive attitude and willingness to learn

Nice To Haves

Previous experience in an ambulatory surgical center is strongly preferred

Must possess a strong knowledge of surgical procedures and management of the surgical patient.
Understanding of aseptic techniques and their implementation.
Independent decision-making skills - ability to quickly adapt to changing conditions of the patient when needed.
Excellent customer service skills - must be an excellent team player and can communicate with patients, employees, and medical staff.
