Certified Surgical Technologist (CST), Ambulatory Surgery Center
About The Position
Methodist Hospital is seeking a Certified Surgical Technologist (CST) to join their Ambulatory Surgery Center (ASC) team. This role is part of the Same Day Surgery Center team in Maple Grove, with occasional travel to other Same Day Surgery Centers as needed. The position requires enthusiastic and positive team players to support growing services and patient care opportunities in the Surgery Centers. The Surgery Center is a fast-paced, multi-specialty practice where the CST works under the direction of a Registered Nurse, utilizing critical thinking, commitment, creativity, and caring. Key skills include practical knowledge of basic surgical instrumentation and equipment for orthopedic surgical procedures, knowledge of aseptic technique and sterilization methods, and understanding of age-related growth and development principles for patient safety. New graduates are encouraged to apply.
Requirements
- Current certification through the National Board of Surgical Technology and Surgical Assisting (NBSTSA) or National Center for Competency Testing (NCCT).
Nice To Haves
- Currently validated CPR skills or BLS certification.
- SPD experience with cross-training to Sterile Processing.
