About The Position
Franciscan Health is seeking a Certified Surgical Technologist to join their team at the Mooresville Campus. This role is part of a faith-based, mission-focused organization that offers professional development opportunities. The Surgical Technologist will be responsible for preparing the operating room, assisting the surgical team, and ensuring all necessary supplies and equipment are available and accounted for during procedures. Clinic responsibilities may also be part of this role.
Requirements
- High School Diploma/GED - Required
- Basic Life Support Program (BLS) - American Heart Association - Required
- Certified Surgical Technologist (CST) – Required through NBSTSA
Nice To Haves
- 1 Year Surgery - Preferred
Responsibilities
- Arrange instrument trays
- Prepare sterile drapes and solutions
- Assist with prep of patients as needed
- Pass instruments to surgeons and surgical assistants
- May assist with sponge, needle, and other supply counts to track materials used in surgery
- May operate suction, diagnostic, and sterilizing equipment, and package specimens to take for laboratory analysis
- Clinic responsibilities may include rooming patients, taking vitals, orders, and routing phone calls
