As a Surgical Tech/Scrub Tech you will: Work under the supervision of the surgeon and RN. Assist surgical team during operative procedures by arranging and inventorying sterile set-up of instruments, equipment and supplies for surgical cases and passing items to surgeons and nurses as needed. Assist in preparing and moving patients and sterilizing and cleaning instruments, equipment and rooms. Day to Day duties: This role will cover Ortho and Sports med service lines Scrub on all cases. Primarily, Spine, Ortho (Totals/ Smaller Sports medicine cases), Robotics, Urology, plastics, ENT, GYN, Eyes, Dental, Gen. Communicate case changes to staff, support, and coach staff to build confidence and growth. Hold staff accountable to policy and high standard of practice. Collaborate with the lead Anesthesiologist on daily case flow and efficiency. Assist in the development and implementation of educational programs/ practices for department associates. Act as leadership within the department to support staff, Manager and Director Facilitating Training, Staff engagement, Supplies, Scheduling. Giving breaks and/or providing additional supplies and sterile instruments as needed during operations. Assisting with Room turnover and restocking for next day’s cases. Maintaining sterile field during procedures. Handing instruments to surgeons, anticipating surgeon’s needs. Maintaining and updating preference cards. 9 OR Suites-1 dedicated labor and delivery suite. Labor Delivery attends C-Sections Approx. 20-30+ cases per Day Schedule: 36hrs/ Week -Variable days per surgical volume and current unit needs Call Required-Approx 5 call shifts in 6 weeks –1900-0700 weeknights and 700-1900, 1900-0700 on weekends 30min Callback radius required. Sleep rooms available

Requirements

Basic Computer skills required.
HS Diploma/GED required
Completion of an approved Surgical Technician program required
BLS from the American Heart Association required
Current registration with the Colorado Department of Regulatory Agencies (DORA) as a surgical technologist for associates working in Colorado. A person performing Surgical Tech functions within the scope of another Colorado license, certification, or registration does not need to register as a Surgical Tech required
Certification in Surgical Technology from the National Board Surgical Technology and Surgical Assisting (NBSTSA) or Certification as a Tech in Surgery (CST) from the National Center for Competency Testing (NCCT) required
Medium Work - (Exert up to 50lbs force occasionally, and/or up to 20lbs frequently, and/or up to 10lbs constantly)

Nice To Haves

Previous Leadership experience preferred
One year of experience in a surgical setting preferred.
Experience in a specialty field preferred.
