About The Position
This is a weekend position requiring 3x12 hour shifts from 7 AM to 7:30 PM. The role also includes a call requirement of 40-60 hours within a 6-week schedule. The daily average surgical case volume is 35, across 22 rooms. Special equipment includes the DaVinci XI VivPost.
Requirements
- Certified Surgical Technologist (CST).
- Minimum 2 years of experience.
- Transplant experience is a must.
- Experience with large open belly cases.
- Experience in General, Urology, Thoracic, Gyn, Plastics, Whipple, Liver Resection, Liver Transplant, and Free Flap procedures.
- Proficiency in scrubbing.
- Proficiency in aseptic technique.
- Basic Cardiac Life Support (BCLS) certification.
- National Board of Surgical Technology and Surgical Assisting (NBSTSA) certification.
Responsibilities
- Perform duties as a Certified Surgical Technologist (CST).
- Provide care during surgical procedures, including large open belly cases.
- Utilize aseptic technique.
- Participate in call rotation, averaging 40-60 hours in a 6-week schedule.
- Work weekend shifts (3x12s, 7 AM - 7:30 PM).
