About The Position

The Certified Surgical Tech demonstrates basic knowledge and skills in the scrub role, necessary to provide assistance during surgical procedures performed in the department. This is a full-time, rotating position.

Requirements

• Graduate of a CAAHEP accredited surgical technology program.
• AHA BLS certification.
• Surgical Technology certification.

Nice To Haves

• Associate degree.
• 1 year of experience.

Responsibilities

• Maintain aseptic technique.
• Set up required equipment, instrumentation, and sterile supplies as needed for assigned cases.
• Scrub and pass instruments and equipment during surgical procedures.
• Pull cases as needed.
• Break down cases at the end of the procedure.
• Set up the operating room and supplies needed for the day/following day’s schedule.
• Be available for call on an assigned scheduled basis as required by unit need.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
