About The Position

James Street Surgical Center is seeking a per diem Certified Surgical Tech to join their fast-paced Ambulatory Surgical Center (ASC) environment. This role is committed to producing the highest quality work and experience for patients and their families. The Certified Surgical Technologist scrubs for surgical procedures, demonstrates competence as a member of the surgical team, and maintains a sterile field. They will prepare supplies, instruments, and equipment related to surgical procedures and support the philosophy, objectives, and goals of the Surgery Center, including quality improvement activities.

Requirements

• High School Diploma/GED
• Completion of a Surgical Technician Program and/or equivalent combination of education and experience
• Certification as required by state and/or center
• Must possess a strong knowledge of surgical procedures and management of the surgical patient
• Understanding of aseptic techniques and their implementation
• Ability to quickly adapt to changing condition of the patient when needed
• Must excel in teamwork and possess strong communication skills to effectively collaborate with staff, engage with patients, and coordinate with physicians

Nice To Haves

• Previous experience in an ambulatory surgical center is strongly preferred
