This position is full time, working M-F either five 8 hour shifts or four 10 hour shifts. Call is required.

Requirements

Graduate of an accredited Surgical Technology Program or completed an appropriate training program for surgical technology in the US Armed Forces or Public Health Service or was employed to practice surgical technology in health care facility prior to September 2009.
Ability to read, write and follow instructions
Strong organizational skills
Certification as a Surgical Technologist
Basic Life Support

Responsibilities

Assuring quality patient care by coordinating with the circulator in the planning and implementation of patient care in the OR.
Maintaining AORN and AST standards to ensure patient safety at all times.
Assisting the surgeon with gowning and gloving, draping the sterile field and performing technical tasks.
This position has call requirements.
