About The Position
St. Elizabeth Healthcare is hiring a Certified Surgical Tech (CST) for a Surgery unit located within the Edgewood, Kentucky hospital. This role involves performing the duties of the scrub person to meet the surgical needs of the patient in the perioperative setting, under the direction of a Registered Nurse. The position emphasizes demonstrating respect, dignity, kindness, and empathy in all interactions.
Requirements
- Graduate of an accredited surgical technician program.
- Proof of certification within one year of hire date.
- In-depth knowledge of anatomy and physiology, surgical procedures, instruments, sutures, and equipment for surgical procedures.
Responsibilities
- Performs the duties of the scrub person to meet the surgical needs of the patient in the perioperative setting.
