About The Position

Mobile Health Team Inc. is seeking an experienced Certified Surgical Tech (CST) - Operating Room (OR) for a 13-week travel assignment in Lawton, OK. Operating Room Nurses are professionals who are responsible for taking care of patients throughout the process of a surgery or medical procedure. They ensure patients are recovering or prepared by providing information on the outcomes or potential outcomes of a procedure.

Requirements

2 years CST experience is required
NCCT is required
BLS(AHA) is beneficial to have
Excellent problem-solving and critical thinking skills
Strong organizational skills and ability to multitask
Willingness to participate in continuing education and training programs
Strong attention to detail and ability to work independently
Strong communication, professionalism, and reliability
Drug screen and background check (facility required)
Additional facility onboarding forms as assigned

Responsibilities

Prepare operating rooms by setting up surgical instruments and equipment.
Ensure all surgical equipment is sterilized and functioning properly.
Assist surgeons during operations by passing instruments and other supplies.
Maintain a sterile environment to minimize the risk of infection.
Monitor and account for all surgical tools and supplies throughout the procedure.
Help position patients for surgery and cover them with sterile drapes.
Prepare and manage specimens taken for lab analysis during surgery.
Anticipate the needs of the surgical team and respond promptly.
Assist in the application of dressings and transfer of patients to recovery.
Perform inventory checks and restock operating room supplies as needed.
