Requirements

  • Graduate of a surgical technology program or equivalent
  • Surgical Technician certification is required
  • Six months of operating room experience
  • Current American Heart Association BLS Certification
  • Experienced in Vascular and Ortho

Responsibilities

  • Functions as a cooperative team member in the Surgical Services department.
  • Provides constant technical assistance to the surgeon within his or her scope of practice.
  • Follows current professional practice standards, rules and regulations set forth by AORN and AST.
  • Willing to cross train and float to meet the needs of the institution.
