About The Position
This is a full-time position on the night shift for a Certified Surgical Tech specializing in Labor & Delivery. The role involves preparing and maintaining medical equipment for surgical procedures, following hospital regulations and industry procedures to care for patients during pre-operation procedures, and performing pre-operation preparations to the patient's skin, body, and medical equipment. The position may require transporting patients to and from the operating room. The role relies on limited experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals, performs a variety of tasks, and typically reports to a registered nurse.
Requirements
- Active State of Texas licensure
- A graduate of an accredited surgical technologist program
- Must be certified to perform CPR
- Minimum 1 year of clinical experience
- Familiar with standard concepts, practices, and procedures within a particular field
