About The Position

Texas Health Stephenville is seeking a Certified Surgical Tech (CST) to join their team. This full-time, day shift position involves assisting in 4 operating rooms and 1 procedure room, providing services in Orthopedics, Ophthalmology, Podiatry, ENT, Dental, and General Surgery. The role emphasizes the delivery of high-quality patient care through nursing education, research, and innovation, within a supportive team environment that offers opportunities for growth. Texas Health Stephenville is a full-service, 98-bed hospital with a history dating back to 1926, offering a range of services including surgical, women's and infants', advanced diagnostic imaging, sleep lab, and wound care. The hospital has received accreditations and designations such as Level IV trauma center, Cycle III Chest Pain Center, Breast Imaging Center of Excellence, Baby-Friendly Hospital, and Pathway to Excellence®. Stephenville offers a peaceful, rural setting approximately an hour from Fort Worth.

Requirements

  • H.S. Diploma or Equivalent and was employed to practice surgical technology in a health care facility before September 1, 2009
  • Graduate of an accredited surgery technology program, Vocational Nurse Program or graduate/completion of a military training program in surgical technology Upon hire
  • CST - Certified Surgical Technologist CST (NBSTSA) or TS-C (NCCT) and graduate of an accredited surgical tech program Upon Hire
  • CST - Certified Surgical Technologist CST (NBSTSA) or TS-C (NCCT) and was employed to practice surgical technology in a healthcare facility before September 1, 2009 Upon Hire
  • CST - Certified Surgical Technologist CST (NBSTSA) or TS-C (NCCT) and graduate/completion of a military training program in surgical technology 2 Years
  • LVN - Licensed Vocational Nurse Upon Hire
  • BCLS - Basic Cardiac Life Support prior to providing independent patient care and maintained quarterly
  • CPI - Crisis Prevention Intervention Training 90 Days
  • A high degree of confidentiality
