About The Position
St. Elizabeth Healthcare is hiring a Certified Surgical Tech (CST) for a Cardiac Surgery unit located within the Edgewood, Kentucky hospital. This is a full-time position with 32 hours weekly, working the 1st shift. The role involves performing the duties of the scrub person under the direction of a licensed caregiver to meet patient needs in the procedural setting. The position requires demonstrating respect, dignity, kindness, and empathy in all interactions.
Requirements
- Graduate of an accredited surgical technician program.
- In-depth knowledge of anatomy and physiology, surgical procedures, instruments, sutures, and equipment for surgical procedures.
- Proof of certification within one year of hire date.
Responsibilities
- Performs the duties of the scrub person to meet the needs of the patient in the procedural setting.
- Demonstrates respect, dignity, kindness and empathy in each encounter with all patients, families, visitors and other employees regardless of cultural background.
