Requirements

Bachelor's or Master’s degree in psychology, counseling, social work, or closely related field preferred
Institutional Treatment Professionals shall be credentialed or eligible for credentialing.
Possession of a masters-level state licensure in social work or counseling is preferred
CADC, CRADC, P-LPC, LPC, P-LMFT, LMFT, LMSW or LCSW is required
Minimum 2-3 years clinical counseling experience, with concurrent experience in the treatment of substance abuse and dual-diagnoses preferred
At least 6 months of development counseling experience with the program specific population preferred
Must be able to obtain Missouri Department of Corrections clearance as the work environment is a correctional institution

Responsibilities

Completes comprehensive assessments of clients’ substance abuse history and treatment requirements, and develops individualized treatment plan.
Provides individual and group counseling and may facilitate didactic groups.
Documents treatment and discharge plans, and clients’ progress and responses to treatment; and maintains related records and charts.
Performs case management and contributes to client care monitoring.
