Certified Sterile Processing Technician - Full Time - Days
About The Position
The Certified Sterile Processing Technician works in a highly technical, fast-paced environment and collaborates with multidisciplinary team members to support patient care. The role receives, fills, and delivers supply orders; processes and sterilizes instrument trays; cleans and inspects patient equipment; and gathers instruments and supplies for surgical case carts. The technician operates equipment and some computer systems, inventories departmental supplies, and restocks supplies and special carts. This full-time, day-shift position is scheduled Monday through Friday from 0600 to 1430, with on-call responsibilities. The position is at Methodist Mansfield Medical Center, a 294-bed acute-care hospital serving North Texas. The hospital provides services including Level III Trauma, NICU, and Maternal Care and is committed to an inclusive workplace that values and supports team members.
Requirements
- Graduate of an approved Sterile Processing Technician program.
- Certification by IAHCSMM or CBSPD.
Nice To Haves
- Two years of direct instrumentation experience is preferred.
