About The Position

This role performs scanning of instrument trays for location and creation of count sheet/label, demonstrates proper assembly, wrapping/containing, and scanning of instrument trays to track location using the instrument tracking system. The technician will also demonstrate decontamination processes according to policy and procedure, including manual cleaning and using automated cleaners such as ultrasonic washers, instrument washers, and cart washers. Additionally, they will perform tests and document to ensure proper operation of washers and Emergency Eyewash and Shower, and demonstrate the proper loading technique for sterilization methods.

Requirements

H.S. Diploma or Equivalent required
CSPDT - Certified Sterile Processing and Distribution Technician upon hire required Or
CBSPD - Certification Board for Sterile Processing & Distribution upon hire required Or
CRCST - Certified Registered Central Service Technician upon hire required

Nice To Haves

1 year of Sterile Processing experience preferred
