Join our innovative and supportive team where advanced technology meets a commitment to excellence in sterile processing. Work location: Texas Health Rockwall - 3150 Horizon Rd, Rockwall, TX 75032. Work hours: Full-time, 40 hours weekly, Monday-Friday 2:30pm-11pm with rotating call requirements during the week, on weekends, and holidays. Training: Must be able to attend training at the corporate office in Arlington 8am-5pm during the first 1-5 days of hire. Surgery - Sterile Department: State-of-the-art sterilization equipment and technology. A collaborative environment that values precision and efficiency. Flexible scheduling with variable shifts.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or Equivalent required
  • 1 year of sterile processing experience preferred
  • CSPDT - Certified Sterile Processing and Distribution Technician required upon hire or CBSPD - Certification Board for Sterile Processing & Distribution required upon hire or CRCST - Certified Registered Central Service Technician required upon hire
  • Detail oriented and strong understanding of sterilization techniques and infection control protocols

Nice To Haves

  • HSPA – Healthcare Sterile Processing Association preferred

Responsibilities

  • Performs scanning of instrument trays for location and creation of count sheet/label.
  • Demonstrates proper assembly technique for instrument trays.
  • Demonstrates wrapping/containing of instruments/tray.
  • Performs scanning of instrument trays to track location using the Cenistrac system.
  • Demonstrates decontamination process according to policy and procedure.
  • Cleaning of instruments manually and using automated cleaners.
  • Performs tests and documents as directed to ensure proper operation of washers.
  • Demonstrates the proper loading technique for sterilization method.
  • Effectively utilizes infection control concepts.
  • Effectively handles all chemical and cleaning agents used for cleaning, decontamination and sterilization of instruments and equipment.
  • Demonstrates processing and distribution of special medical emergency carts, and Urology carts.
  • Monitors supplies as necessary.
