About The Position

Our client is seeking a Certified Teacher - Special Education in Aston, PA. This role involves establishing and maintaining a developmentally appropriate classroom, promoting emotional and social growth for students with intellectual and developmental disabilities. The teacher will plan and implement a program of study that meets the individual needs, abilities, and interests of all students, creating a classroom environment conducive to learning and appropriate to the maturity and interest of the student. Key responsibilities include establishing clear objectives for all lessons, units, and projects, and communicating these objectives to students. The teacher will strive to implement the District's philosophy of education and instructional materials through instruction and action, and assist in the selection of books, equipment, and other instructional materials.

Requirements

• Minimum of a Bachelor's Degree.
• Current Pennsylvania Special Education Instructional Certificate.
• Determination to drive student achievement and set high expectations for all students.
• The ability to motivate, support, and challenge students in a student-centered, standards-driven classroom community.
