About The Position

Catapult Learning is seeking a Certified Special Education Teacher for a part-time position in Brockton, MA. The role involves supporting students with their IEP goals, designing learning paths, and providing academic, social, and emotional services. The teacher will utilize Catapult Learning's instructional models and curricula, conduct assessments, implement behavior support strategies, and maintain program materials. The position requires fostering a positive classroom environment, maintaining confidentiality, and developing individualized lesson plans and behavioral assessments. The teacher will also be responsible for student supervision and attending training sessions.

Responsibilities

  • Schedule may include pullout and push-in services to support student IEP goals.
  • Teach knowledge and skills, nurture confidence and character, and meet student needs by utilizing Catapult Learning instructional models, strategies, and curricula.
  • Provide academic, social, and emotional services for students who require additional support to thrive in school.
  • Conduct student assessments, use data to develop and implement academic instructional plans and classwork, and collaborate with school personnel and families to drive outcomes.
  • Access the school’s behavior support and intervention strategies, including implementation of de-escalation techniques and crisis intervention, to maintain the safety of students and staff.
  • Maintain program instructional materials and computer lab components.
  • Foster a positive classroom environment as you maintain the confidentiality of students and families.
  • Identify and enroll eligible students through existing test scores, administering tests, and/or other acceptable methods as required by Catapult Learning.
  • Develop and maintain short- and long-term individualized skill-appropriate lesson plans, functional behavioral assessments, and behavioral plans.
  • Ensure supervision of students, including escorting students safely to and from Catapult Learning classrooms.
  • Attend training sessions, pass content assessments, and deliver designated instructional models for eligible student.
