Responsibilities

Provides direct patient care by assisting the Physician/Surgeon and Charge Nurse with patients.
Assists surgeons during invasive and non-invasive procedures, anticipates surgeon’s needs, and hands surgical instruments to surgeon.
Prepares and organizes the operating room, cleans and sterilizes equipment, and maintains a sterile surgical environment.
Communicates with Charge Nurse and staff about the patient’s condition and responds quickly and request assistance when changes occur in the care of the patient.
