About The Position

This position is for a Certified Science Tutor at Oak Forest High School, effective for the 2026-27 School Year. The primary goal is to promote scientific literacy by assisting students in developing and applying scientific skills, knowledge, and principles.

Requirements

• A bachelor's degree in Science or a related subject area.
• A valid Illinois Certificate Type 90 preferred.
• Such alternatives to the above qualifications as the Board may find appropriate and acceptable.

Responsibilities

• Tutors secondary pupils in science, utilizing the course of study adopted by the Board of Education and appropriate curriculum publications as guidelines in addressing individual course content.
