Requirements

FDLE Safe School Officer certification required.
Ability to maintain the FDLE Safe School Officer certification and recertify yearly or as defined by Florida state statutes.
Valid Florida Class “D” and “G” Security Officer Licenses (with renewals).
Firearm license and documented training.
Successful completion of a forensic psychological assessment.
Physical fitness for both indoor and outdoor activity; ability to lift 45 lbs.
Proficiency with Google Suite, Microsoft Office, and other basic computer applications.
Full availability to work as needed, including days, nights, weekends, and holidays.
Professionalism in appearance, work ethic and positive attitude are essential.
The ability to perform vigorous activities when called upon along with being able to work both outdoors and indoors.
Compassion and empathy for others; are able to win people’s confidence and trust.
Experience in counseling others with the Word of God. Employs Biblical principles to resolve everyday problems.
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills for relating effectively with staff members, leadership, and the church body.
A teachable spirit and a flexible profile when needed.
Gifts of the Holy Spirit that are evident and flowing daily.
Enthusiasm when working; able to establish priorities and direct multiple problems or inquiries simultaneously.

Nice To Haves

Law Enforcement and, or military experience.
A Valid Driver License.

Responsibilities

Prioritize Calvary Chapel and Calvary Christian Academy security needs above outside employment.
Be flexible, maintaining 24/7 readiness, including day, night, weekend, and holiday shifts.
Conduct regular patrols across church and school properties, maintaining visibility and accessibility.
Coordinate security for church services, events, and school functions.
Lock/unlock and secure all facilities based on scheduled events, ensuring facilities are secure and operational.
Arm/disarm alarm and card reader systems; patrol campus areas and maintain visible presence.
Respond to incidents, document activities, and report to the Director of Security or designee.
Complete assignments or projects as delegated by the Director of Security or designee.
Communicate appropriately any relevant information to staff, departments, and ministries to maintain campus-wide awareness.
Maintain a spirit of collaboration with church staff, volunteers, and law enforcement.
Maintain professionalism, confidentiality, and preparedness.
Obtain and maintain security and firearm licenses as required by state entities.
This role reports directly to the Director of Security or designee.
