About The Position

This is a full-time Certified Respiratory Therapist (CRT) position on the night shift, offering weekly earnings of $1,206 – $1,623 (based on 3x12s) and a base pay of $33.50 – $45.09/hr, with opportunities for shift differentials. The role is within the Cardiopulmonary / Respiratory Therapy Department in the Chicago Metro Area, Illinois, which offers a big-city lifestyle, a strong healthcare market, no car required, and lakefront living. Requirements

  • State Respiratory Care Practitioner (RCP) License required
  • Current BCLS (AHA) certificate upon hire and maintain current.
  • ACLS certificate within 60 days of hire and maintain current
  • PALS certificate within 60 days of hire and maintain current.
  • High School Diploma or equivalent is required

Nice To Haves

  • 2 years experience as a RCP preferred.
  • NRP certificate preferred
  • Associate Degree or Bachelor of Science degree preferred

Responsibilities

  • In the absence of a supervisor, the CRT/RCP I may serve as Lead RCP, overseeing operations during their shift.
  • Provide respiratory care and pulmonary therapy per physician orders
  • Manage mechanical ventilation, oxygen therapy, aerosol treatments, and airway management
  • Perform and interpret arterial blood gas (ABG) analysis
  • Conduct pulmonary diagnostic procedures and patient assessments
  • Implement patient-specific care plans
  • Document patient care, interventions, and outcomes accurately
  • Serve as Lead RCP in the absence of a supervisor
  • Respond to critical care situations and emergencies
  • Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams
