About The Position

Navitas Healthcare, LLC is seeking a skilled and compassionate Certified Respiratory Therapist (CRT) to join a Cardiopulmonary/Respiratory Therapy team in a hospital setting. This role involves delivering comprehensive respiratory care across neonatal, pediatric, adult, and geriatric patient populations in acute and critical care environments.

Requirements

  • Graduate of a COARC-accredited Respiratory Care Program
  • Active Certified Respiratory Therapist (CRT) credential (NBRC required)
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification (or ability to obtain within 90 days)
  • Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) certification (or ability to obtain within 6 months)
  • Minimum 1 year of hospital-based respiratory therapy experience
  • Strong knowledge of ventilator management and airway care
  • Ability to work night shifts in high-acuity environments
  • Must meet all facility onboarding and compliance requirements

Nice To Haves

  • Experience in ICU, ER, NICU, or other critical care settings
  • Experience with pulmonary diagnostics
  • Exposure to cardiac diagnostics (EKG, Holter monitoring, stress testing)
  • Strong critical thinking and emergency response skills
  • Experience in fast-paced acute care hospital environments

Responsibilities

  • Provide safe and effective respiratory care as prescribed by physicians
  • Perform all respiratory therapy procedures in accordance with departmental policies
  • Manage and monitor patients on mechanical ventilation
  • Perform airway management including bag-mask ventilation and suctioning
  • Assist with intubation procedures and airway stabilization
  • Perform and interpret arterial blood gas (ABG) draws
  • Initiate, maintain, and adjust ventilator settings based on patient condition
  • Monitor respiratory status and recommend appropriate clinical interventions
  • Administer respiratory medications and therapies as prescribed
  • Accurately document all respiratory care procedures in patient records
  • Respond to emergency and critical care situations (ICU, ED, NICU, etc.)
  • Troubleshoot respiratory equipment and ensure proper functionality
  • Educate patients, families, and staff on respiratory care procedures
  • Participate in patient rounds, staff meetings, and in-service training
  • Ensure compliance with infection control, safety, and hospital protocols
  • Maintain accurate charge capture and clinical documentation
