About The Position

Under the on-site supervision of a Registered Respiratory Therapist, this position is responsible for the skilled and competent delivery of Respiratory Care Services ordered by a physician in accordance with established protocols set by the facility or other health care provider in the treatment, management, control, diagnostic evaluation and care of patients with deficiencies and abnormalities associated with the Cardiopulmonary system. These services may include but are not limited to: initiation and monitoring of patients receiving continuous mechanical ventilation, noninvasive ventilation to include BI-PAP, CPAP therapy, delivery of prescribed oxygen and aerosol therapy, pulse oximetry for oxygen titration, and administration and monitoring of all respiratory and therapeutic modalities which include aerosolized medications, sputum inductions, chest physiotherapy, and arterial blood gas sampling and analyses.
