Requirements

Associate Degree in Respiratory Therapy.
Current Registered Respiratory Therapist (CRT) credential by NBRC.
Current Respiratory Care Practitioner (RCP) license through the Texas Medical Board.
BLS certification must be obtained within 14 days of hire or transfer into the role and prior to providing direct patient care.
ACLS certification within 6 months of hire (adult-care settings) within 6 months of hire.
NRP and/or PALS certification as required by the patient population within 6 months of hire.

Nice To Haves

One year of acute care experience.
Experience working in critical care, emergency department, or neonatal ICU.
Familiarity with EPIC or similar EMR systems.

Responsibilities

Provides safe, evidence-based respiratory care to neonatal, pediatric, adolescent, adult, and geriatric patients in accordance with physician orders, established standards, and hospital policies.
Performs diagnostic and therapeutic procedures to support patients with cardiopulmonary impairments.
Contributes to interdisciplinary care planning.
