The role involves providing support, intervention, direction, and conflict resolution to clients in substance use disorder treatment, conducting comprehensive assessments, and developing complex treatment plans for clients with dual diagnoses, social, or mental health issues. Senior Counselors may also guide other Counselors in resolving complex case problems.
Requirements
- Master’s Degree
- Current WY license or provisional required
Nice To Haves
- 3 years clinical experience preferred
- 1 year TC experience preferred
Responsibilities
- Completing comprehensive assessments and treatment planning for caseload, and providing counseling services to clients
- Developing and implementing complex treatment and discharge plans for clients with dual diagnoses, social or mental health issues
- Serving as a professional resource to other Counselors in resolving complex case problems, and providing clinical supervision and guidance as needed
- May conduct in-service and continuing education programs for treatment staff
- Assuming responsibility for overseeing Counselors in absence of Supervisor
- Other duties as assigned
