About The Position
Wasatch County Assessor's Office seeks a full-time Certified Residential Appraiser. This position involves performing a variety of technical duties related to the appraisal of improved and unimproved rural, residential, commercial, and industrial property to determine market value for tax purposes. The role includes inspecting and valuing property and agricultural land, determining values for tax roll purposes, and defending those values. Knowledge of sales ratio studies and highest and best use of property is required.
Requirements
- Certification as a Certified Residential Appraiser in good standing with the Utah Division of Real Estate.

Responsibilities
- Performing a variety of technical duties related to the appraisal of improved and unimproved rural, residential, commercial and industrial property to determine market value of tax purposes.
- Performing a variety of working levels: including inspection, valuation of improved and unimproved property, agriculture land.
- Determining values for tax roll purposes.
- Defending value.
- Conducting sales ratio studies.
- Determining highest and best use of property.
