A Certified Registered Nurse Practitioner (CRNP) provides primary care services, including assessing and managing patients in the clinic, through the patient centered medical home concept, following the established standards and practices of the clinic. The position combines the roles of provider, mentor, educator, researcher and administrator. The CRNP must honor the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania’s Nurse Practitioner’s guidelines and ethical requirements. The CRNP must have and exercise the ability to communicate effectively, both verbally and in writing, with advanced interpersonal communication skills, and must at all times comply with applicable standards and exercise appropriate care to protect confidentiality, privacy and security of patient protected health information. The CRNP must also be willing to travel to other clinics to provide care and coverage as needed.
