About The Position
Floyd Valley Healthcare has a PRN opening for a Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetist (CRNA) in Le Mars, Iowa. The position reports to the Chief CRNA and provides anesthesia care for surgical patients, supports emergency management and emergency IV access, and provides post-anesthesia care and follow-up. The role also contributes to improving anesthesia services. Floyd Valley Healthcare is a 25-bed critical access hospital serving Le Mars and surrounding communities. Its services include the hospital, family medicine clinics, public health, home health, and home medical services.
Requirements
- Current CRNA licensure in the State of Iowa.
- Current certification as a CRNA by the National Board of Certification and Recertification for Nurse Anesthetists.
- Licensure as a Registered Nurse in the State of Iowa or meeting the requirements of a multi-state license.
- Complete a pre-employment drug screen, background check, and employee health review, including required immunizations.
Responsibilities
- Provide anesthesia care for surgical patients.
- Assist with emergency management and emergency IV access.
- Discharge patients from a post-anesthesia care area.
- Provide post-anesthesia follow-up evaluation and care.
- Identify opportunities to improve anesthesia services and assist in developing resolutions in a positive, constructive manner.
