About The Position

This position is for a Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetist (CRNA) to provide coverage at a Medical Center. The initial commitment is for 6 months, with potential for extensions. The role involves working within a care team model, offering a high degree of autonomy in managing cases. The facility operates multiple operating rooms, ambulatory surgery centers, and specialized labs. The case mix is diverse, including general surgery, MAC, ophthalmology, pediatrics, endoscopy, GI, pulmonary, oncology, orthopedics, and mandatory OB cases. While spinal and epidural skills are advantageous, they are not required, as comprehensive orientation and proctoring will be provided. The Electronic Medical Records system used is EPIC. Candidates must be Board Certified and hold current BLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications from the American Heart Association.

Requirements

  • Board Certification as a Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetist (CRNA).
  • Current BLS certification from the American Heart Association.
  • Current ACLS certification from the American Heart Association.
  • Current PALS certification from the American Heart Association.
  • Experience with Pediatrics cases.
  • Experience with Obstetrics (OB) cases.
  • Experience with Orthopedics cases.
  • Experience with Gastrointestinal cases.
  • Experience with Gynecological cases.
  • Ability to manage own cases with a high degree of autonomy.
  • Willingness to undergo orientation and proctoring for case management.

Nice To Haves

  • Spinal and epidural skills.
  • Expertise in Heads cases.
  • Experience with Hearts cases.
  • Experience with Regional Blocks.

Responsibilities

  • Manage anesthesia for a variety of surgical and medical procedures.
  • Provide coverage for general surgery, monitored anesthesia care (MAC), ophthalmologic procedures, pediatrics, outpatient endoscopy, gastrointestinal, pulmonary, oncology, orthopedics, and Obstetrics (OB).
  • Work within a care team model with a high degree of autonomy.
  • Utilize the EPIC Electronic Medical Records system.
  • Provide anesthesia services during standard 8 and 10-hour shifts, with a preference for weekend and OB coverage.
  • Participate in orientation and proctoring as needed to manage cases independently.
