About The Position

Azura Vascular Care, a division of Fresenius Medical Care, is seeking a Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetist (CRNA). This role involves working autonomously and collaboratively to provide high-quality anesthesia and pain care for patients of all acuity levels across various procedural settings. The CRNA will be responsible for pre-anesthesia assessments, medication and equipment management, anesthesia administration, intraoperative monitoring, post-anesthesia care, pain management, and emergency interventions. The position also requires ensuring patient safety, complying with standards, participating in quality initiatives, and collaborating with healthcare teams.

Requirements

  • Graduate of a nurse anesthesia educational program accredited by the Council on Accreditation of Nurse Anesthesia Educational Programs or its predecessor.
  • Current Appropriate State Licensure and complies with any applicable state statutory and regulatory requirements concerning CRNAs.
  • BLS and ACLS certification.
  • Is currently certified or recertified by the National Board of Certification and Recertification for Nurse Anesthetists.
  • Insurable by an appropriate medical malpractice insurer for the limits required by this institution or state.
  • 8–12 years of related experience or equivalent education and experience.
  • Competent in performing as a CRNA in a clinical setting.
  • Proficient in operating anesthesia equipment and providing perioperative or operating room support to patients.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills for effective interdisciplinary collaboration.
  • Skilled in providing age- and population-appropriate patient care.
  • Understands principles of growth and development across the lifespan.
  • Knowledgeable in infection control practices.
  • Able to maintain confidentiality and follow facility policies and procedures.

Nice To Haves

  • 5 years of CRNA experience preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct pre-anesthesia evaluations, obtain informed consent, and develop anesthesia care plans.
  • Select, administer anesthetics, adjuvant drugs, and fluids; manage and perform safety checks on equipment.
  • Administer anesthesia and sedation, manage airways, and ensure safe anesthesia delivery during procedures.
  • Monitor patient condition, maintain time-based records, and adjust care to maintain stability.
  • Manage patient emergence and recovery, provide follow-up care, and discharge from the post-anesthesia unit.
  • Implement pain management strategies, including regional anesthesia and interventional procedures.
  • Stabilize patients in emergencies, providing airway, cardiovascular, and respiratory support.
  • Ensure patient safety, comply with standards, participate in quality initiatives, and collaborate with teams.
