About The Position

MUSC Health – Lancaster Medical Center is seeking a Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetist (CRNA) to join a high-performing Anesthesia Care Team model in Lancaster, SC. This role offers the opportunity to work alongside experienced CRNAs and board-certified Anesthesiologists within a collaborative Anesthesia Care Team, delivering high-quality care across a diverse case mix at two well-supported campuses in Lancaster and Chester. In this model, CRNAs play a vital role in delivering hands-on anesthesia care across a wide range of procedures, with the autonomy to manage cases while benefiting from physician partnership and resources. MUSC Health – Lancaster Medical Center is a 225-bed, all-private room facility supported by more than 1,000 physicians and care team members. MUSC Health – Chester Medical Center is an intimate, 82-bed facility where caregivers take pride in working with close-knit teams, supported by dedicated department leaders, to serve the residents of Chester County.

Requirements

  • Experience administering vascular, minimal pediatric, neuro, regional, and orthopedic anesthesia, as well as anesthesia for outpatient surgery.
  • Graduate of a program approved by the Council on Accreditation of Nurse Anesthesia Educational Programs.
  • Minimum of a master’s degree, or higher, with a concentration in Nurse Anesthesia (for those hired after March 1, 2019).
  • Insurable by the medical malpractice insurer of MUSC for the required limits.
  • Must be recognized as an APRN with current license to practice, or eligibility to obtain practice in the state of South Carolina.
  • Current Basic Life Support (BLS), Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS), and Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) certification from an American Health Association (AHA) for Healthcare Providers or an American Red Cross CPR/AED for Professional Rescuers and Healthcare Provider.
