About The Position

We are seeking a Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetist (CRNA) for an ongoing coverage need at a Level II trauma center. This inpatient position involves providing comprehensive anesthesia care to patients undergoing a variety of surgical procedures. The CRNA will be responsible for preoperative assessments, intraoperative anesthesia management, and postoperative pain management, collaborating closely with surgeons and the healthcare team to ensure optimal patient outcomes. The role requires monitoring patient vital signs, adjusting anesthetic plans, responding to emergencies, and maintaining accurate medical records. Continuous learning and staying updated on anesthesia advancements are essential.

Requirements

  • Active Pennsylvania licensure
  • Board certification
  • AHA BLS and ACLS certifications
  • Minimum 1-year CRNA experience or equivalent
  • Master of Science in Nursing (MSN) or Doctorate in Nursing Practice (DNP) from an accredited CRNA program
  • Active and unencumbered advanced practice registered nurse (APRN) license in Pennsylvania
  • National certification as a CRNA by the National Board of Certification and Re-certification for Nurse Anesthetist (NBCRNA)
  • While specific requirements may vary, most locum CRNA positions prefer candidates with at least one year of experience in a clinical anesthesia setting

Responsibilities

  • Monitor patient vital signs and adjust anesthetic plans as needed
  • Respond to emergencies and provide critical care interventions
  • Maintain accurate and complete medical records
  • Stay current on the latest advancements in anesthesia practice through continuing education
