Seeking a Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetist for Madigan Army Medical Center in Tacoma, Washington, located at Joint Base Lewis-McChord. This facility is one of four Level II Trauma Centers in Washington State and collaborates with civilian facilities to care for trauma victims. At Madigan, you will work alongside civilian and military healthcare experts, offering unique professional opportunities. Requirements

• Must be a US Citizen
• A Graduate degree (or higher) in Nurse Anesthesia from an accredited program (CCNE, COA, or ACME).
• A current, active, and unrestricted license in the specialty of Anesthesia.

Responsibilities

• Operates as an Advanced Practice Nurse (APRN) within a high-volume, multi-specialty Level II Trauma Center.
• Conducts comprehensive evaluations in the Pre-Anesthesia Clinic to optimize patients before surgery.
• Develops and executes anesthetic plans with significant autonomy, including the selection of pharmacological agents and invasive monitoring.
• Provides advanced pain relief techniques for acute post-surgical recovery and chronic pain conditions in collaboration with the Interdisciplinary Pain Management Center.
• Serves as a primary expert for difficult intubations and emergency resuscitations throughout the hospital and Emergency Department.
• Provides oversight, bedside teaching, and formal evaluations for Student Nurse Anesthetists (SRNAs) and residents.
• Delivers in-services, workshops, and case studies to ensure anesthesia staff remains current on the latest DoD anesthesia protocols.
• Participates in Quality Assurance (QA) and Peer Review processes to maintain Joint Commission (TJC) accreditation standards.
