About The Position
We are seeking a dedicated Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetist (CRNA) for a locum opportunity in a busy hospital setting in Flint, Michigan. The facility has 16 operating rooms and averages 35 surgical cases per day, with a supportive environment focused on patient care. The schedule is 2–3 shifts per week, with each shift lasting 10–12 hours and no on-call responsibilities. CERNER is used for electronic documentation.
Requirements
- Active Michigan nursing license (non-compact); no exceptions.
- NBCRNA certification; new graduates are welcome.
- Current BLS certification from the AHA.
- Current ACLS certification from the AHA.
- Clean background with no malpractice issues for expedited credentialing.
Nice To Haves
- Local providers who can drive in are preferred.
Responsibilities
- Administer anesthesia for various surgical procedures.
- Collaborate with physicians and surgical staff to ensure patient safety and optimal outcomes.
- Monitor patients throughout surgical procedures and adjust anesthesia as necessary.
- Maintain accurate records of anesthesia administration and patient care.
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives as needed.
