About The Position
We are seeking a Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetist (CRNA) for a Locum Tenens position in Jackson, Michigan. This inpatient role involves providing clinical anesthesia services for a variety of surgical cases, including general surgery, neurosurgery, and spinal anesthesia, for patients ranging from pediatrics to geriatrics. The position requires coverage for ongoing needs, with a shift schedule of days, Monday-Friday, offering 8 or 10-hour shifts. The facility is a Level II Trauma Center utilizing the Epic EMR system, with backup available from anesthesiologists and surgical teams.
Requirements
- Board Certified CRNA
- Active Michigan license
- ACLS, BLS, PALS, NBCRNA certifications
- Minimum 1 year CRNA experience
- Clean background
- Self-Query NPDB within one month
- No employment gaps
- Must have availability for either Monday or Friday each week
- Minimum 32 hours per week
Responsibilities
- Administer anesthesia for general surgical procedures spanning adult and pediatric patients
- Provide anesthesia for neurosurgical cases, including managing neurological status pre- and post-procedure
- Perform spinal anesthesia and local infiltration anesthesia as required
- Manage ventilation, monitor respiratory status, and respond to airway emergencies including intubation
- Deliver anesthesia under direct supervision in a collaborative team environment
