About The Position

The Medical College of Wisconsin’s Department of Anesthesia is seeking a Certified Anesthesiologist Assistant or Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetist (CAA/CRNA) to join their Ambulatory Surgery Center team. This role will work with a medically directed team involving faculty anesthesiologists, anesthesiology fellows, residents, and advanced practice certified nurse anesthetists and CAAs. The successful candidate must possess the ability to provide high-quality anesthesia care to a complex patient population, working directly under the supervision of our Adult Anesthesiologists and as part of a team of highly trained and dedicated team of CAAs and certified nurse anesthetists.

Requirements

  • Certified Anesthesiologist Assistant (CAA) or Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetist (CRNA).
  • Master’s of Science in Anesthesiology (for CAA).
  • Master’s Degree or higher in Nursing (for CRNA).
  • Board eligible for certification are also encouraged to apply.
  • Wisconsin licensure or eligible.
  • AHA BCLS and/or ACLS certification.

Nice To Haves

  • Previous CAA/CRNA experience in Adult Anesthesiology.
  • Previous Adult Health Care experience.

Responsibilities

  • Provide high-quality anesthesia care to a complex patient population.
  • Work directly under the supervision of Adult Anesthesiologists.
  • Collaborate as part of a team of highly trained and dedicated CAAs and certified nurse anesthetists.
