About The Position
The University of Maryland St. Joseph Medical Center (UM SJMC), a member of the University of Maryland Medical System (UMMS), is seeking permanent and Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetists to join its team in Towson, Maryland. UM SJMC is a CMS 5-Star, Leapfrog Grade ‘A’ hospital and ranked the #1 community hospital in Maryland by U.S. News and World Report. The surgical case mix includes orthopedics, spine, vascular, hepatobiliary, general, GI, GYN, Plastics, Breast, urology, podiatry, OB, and thoracic procedures as well as healthy pediatric orthopedic and ENT procedures. The general anesthesia team does not support transplant, trauma, cardiac, or cranial surgical procedures. Requirements
- Graduation from an accredited school of nursing.
- Graduation with a Master’s degree from an accredited school of nurse anesthesia.
- Current licensure from the Maryland State Board of Nurse Examiners to practice nursing and nurse anesthesia.
Responsibilities
- Administer anesthesia to patients for a variety of surgical procedures.
- Monitor patient vital signs and condition during anesthesia.
- Collaborate with anesthesiologists and surgical teams.
- Provide post-anesthesia care.
