About The Position

We are seeking a Certified Medical Assistant to join our healthcare team. The CMA is responsible for providing high-quality, direct patient care and supporting healthcare providers through a combination of clinical and administrative responsibilities. This role requires proficiency in routine clinical procedures, strong communication skills, and a compassionate, patient-centered approach for individuals. Advocare, LLC is a physician-owned partnership of leading pediatricians, family practitioners, and specialists in New Jersey, Pennsylvania, and Delaware. As a Certified Medical Assistant, you’ll be an integral member of a forward-thinking clinical team dedicated to delivering exceptional patient care and service in a dynamic healthcare environment.

Requirements

  • Strong understanding of medical procedures, terminology, and administrative functions
  • Proficiency in using electronic medical records (EMR) systems.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • High attention to detail and organizational ability
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining professionalism
  • Demonstrated commitment to confidentiality, integrity, and patient service
  • Compassionate, patient-focused demeanor and team-oriented mindset
  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Certification or Registration as a Medical Assistant
  • Minimum of 1 year of experience in a clinical or medical office setting

Responsibilities

  • Obtain and record patient medical histories and vital signs
  • Prepare patients for examination and assist during exams and procedures
  • Perform point-of-care testing, specimen collection, and lab preparation
  • Maintain accurate electronic health records and complete documentation
  • Handle administrative duties such as answering phones, verifying insurance, scheduling, and processing referrals
  • Maintain medical supply inventory and perform equipment upkeep
  • Prepare and disinfect examination and treatment rooms
  • Provide patient education and transmit physician instructions
  • Support compliance with HIPAA, OSHA, and all healthcare regulations
  • Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and administrative staff to ensure seamless patient care
  • Perform other job-related duties as assigned
