About The Position

The Certified Recovery Support Worker (CRSW) plays a vital role in supporting clients experiencing challenges related to substance use. At the direction of the primary counselor, provider, or applicable policy and procedure the CRSW provides the recovery support services detailed in the integrated treatment plan to eligible clients to support their recovery. This includes individual and group skill development, psychoeducation, setting and refining recovery goals, and addressing barriers to recovery.

Requirements

  • The CRSW must have excellent interpersonal skills (verbal and written), organizational skills, proficiency in MS Office and ability to utilize online EHR platforms.
  • The CRSW must have knowledge of Certified Recovery Support Worker processes and responsibilities.
  • A high school diploma with experience noted below is required.
  • Active CRSW certification, when required by state law, payer rule, contract, or assigned duties, must be maintained in good standing.
  • If certification is not required at hire but is required for continued employment or assigned duties, the employee must meet agency timelines for eligibility, application, and completion.
  • Any required certification will be verified through primary source verification and monitored throughout employment.
  • Minimum of one year experience in a setting that provides direct care to vulnerable populations is required.
  • Must pass all Federal and State background checks.
  • Other background checks will be conducted for licensures and certifications according to company policy.
  • Employment in this position is contingent upon successful completion of all required pre-employment screening, verification, and approval processes in accordance with agency policy, applicable law, payer requirements, and accreditation standards.
  • This includes, as applicable to the position: Criminal background checks, including federal, state, and local checks as required Driving record review for positions that require transportation of clients or use of a personal or company vehicle for work duties Verification of all applicable credentials, including licensure, certification, registration, and education Verification of credentials through primary source verification Verification in each state, province, or other jurisdiction in which the employee will provide services Review of sanctions, exclusions, or other findings that may affect employability or ability to bill for services Fitness-for-duty review, when required for the position or when job duties reasonably require such review
  • All required background checks, credential verification, and fitness-for-duty requirements must be completed prior to hire or prior to the delivery of services, as applicable.
  • Required verifications must also be maintained throughout employment, including at hire, upon renewal of any required credential, when job duties change, when the employee begins working in another jurisdiction, and whenever otherwise required by policy, law, contract, or regulation.
  • If information is received that raises concern related to background checks, credentials, driving eligibility, sanctions, exclusions, or fitness for duty, the organization may take action consistent with policy and law, including delaying start date, restricting duties, removing the employee from service delivery, requiring supervision or corrective action, reassignment, suspension, or separation from employment.
  • Employees are responsible for maintaining all required credentials in good standing and for immediately notifying the organization of any lapse, restriction, investigation, suspension, revocation, exclusion, or other material change affecting their eligibility to perform job duties.

Nice To Haves

  • An associated in a closely related field or bachelor’s in an unrelated field is preferred.
  • Recovery Coach training is highly preferred.
  • Experience in a SUD treatment setting is preferred.
  • Experience facilitating SUD recovery skills groups is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Coordinate and provide care that is safe, timely, effective, efficient, and client centered.
  • Manage case assignments and collaborate with the treatment team in the development of recovery plans.
  • Advocate for clients, assisting them in making informed decisions regarding their clinical status and treatment options.
  • Collaborate with therapists, prescribers, nurses, clients, and client support network to ensure all client behavioral health needs are met.
  • Facilitate groups as assigned, utilizing the provided evidence-based curriculum.
  • Attend and participate in weekly clinical supervision.
  • Collaborate with the integrated care team in the collection and packaging of urine drug screens (UDS).
  • Ensure adherence to all relevant regulations, certification requirements, and accreditation standards.
  • Ensure compliance with confidentiality standards including HIPAA, 42 CFR, and agency policies.
  • Promote a positive organizational culture aligned with the agency's values and mission.
  • Other duties as assigned.
